What's the best value/quality option for kitchen benchtops in the current market? Corian, stone, timber, laminate?
Laminate provides a good quality option at the lower end of the price range, and can also look the part provided you go with the wrapped bullnose edging option. Timber presents well, but requires ongoing maintenance and is porous which is never a good option for hygiene. For my money, I would be going with a Corian or stone product – aesthetically pleasing, non-porous with a quality working surface.
