Do I need council approval for front fences?
Do I need council approval if i decide to put a brick pillared fence with gates in the front of my house or any other type of fences?

Very much depends on where it is I believe. There are restrictions on height especially if near an intersection etc. Also pool fences have special requirements. Best to contact a fencing business to confirm, although they may charge to come out and measure/confirm especially if you are only after information not a quote to do the job.
