Hi all, anyone ever built their own colorbond gates?
I'd like to have a go, I have both a mig and stick welder but need some tips on whether or not the colorbond post they weld onto the RHS is thicker then the same post they use for the fences.
Any info much appreciated

Geoff, is there any existing posts? Are you connecting this gate to an end post of a fence etc?

Hi mate,
There's an existing gate at the moment but I want to build the new one to replace it with.
One side will connect to the house and the other a 75x75 post.

Sorry just a bit confused. Are you going to put the same size end post(that is currently on the fence end 75x75) on the wall end and hinge off that end or is it too wide and you need to put an extra panel on either side etc?
You're wanting to cut a colorbond sheet to size for the gate door and weld the outer frame together?
